Civil Servants at Band B (Grade 6/7) and SCS Band 1.
The Future Leaders Scheme (FLS) and Senior Leaders Scheme (SLS) are cross-Government schemes for high-potential civil servants.
The Future Leaders Scheme is for high-potential grade 6 and 7 civil servants.
The scheme provides a leadership development curriculum, which supports civil servants in accelerating their development as well as learning more about their personal leadership effectiveness.
The programme includes a combination of taught learning and self-led development. Activities include webinars, workshops, action learning sets, along with group executive coaching and senior sponsorship.
The Senior Leaders Scheme is for high-potential deputy directors (SCS Band 1) who have the potential to progress to the most senior roles in the Civil Service.
The 16-month scheme provides an integrated development offer designed to accelerate participatns' progression, including workshops, executive coaching, one-day modules and organisational visits.
Each cohort is mentored by a senior sponsor who supports and champions participants throughut the scheme.
