You will also be able to claim a Rental Advance to help with any cash flow issues associated with renting a new property - for example, if you need to pay your rent before you have received your FAM rental payment.

You can apply for anywhere between one and six months' rent.

Complete the boxes below for an example of how much advance you might receive based on three months' advance of your expected rental cost. You may decide to apply for more or less than this amount.

If the landlord requires a payment instead of a guarantor, you can apply for a lump sum of up to six months' rent equivalent. Talk to the FAM Cell at the pilot site if this applies to you to get more information and advice on what to do next.
