Defence Sports and Recreational Association (DSRA)

Who is it for?

All Civil Servants.

What do I get?

The Defence Sports & Recreational Association (DSRA) exists to promote good health, morale and fitness amongst civilian defence staff through sport and recreation. They do this by:

  • sponsoring a variety of centrally-organised sporting and recreational events and opportunities. The largest and best known of these is the annual MOD Sports Day.
  • providing financial support for individuals or groups looking to take part in organised sporting or recreational activities.
  • overseeing, encouraging and helping to fund a number of establishment-level sports & social clubs who look to provide local-level sporting or recreational events and opportunities.
  • administering the MOD Lottery (MOTTO) which is open to all MOD civilian staff (including those at DECA, DSTL and UKHO) where you have the opportunity to win 1 of 25 monthly prizes ranging from £100 to £10,000.
