Employee Reward Scheme

The Employee Reward Scheme allows managers and peers to recognise individuals for their performance and behaviours.

Who is it for?

MOD civilian staff that are covered by the MOD main pay agreement. Staff in SCS and those outside of the MOD Main pay agreement are not eligible however some, including NSOG and Military personnel can be included in a Team Award.

What do I get?

In a financial year you can, receive a maximum of £3,000 across all award types available in the Employee Reward Scheme.

There are 5 available awards:

  • Great Performance Award

  • Exceptional Performance Award

  • Outstanding Behaviour Award

  • Team Award Award

  • Thank You Award

Each recognises something different and the awards are a mix of money and voucher awards ranging from £50-£2,000 depending on the award type.

    Your manager can nominate you where you deliver great or exceptional performance or as part of a team award. Colleagues can nominate you where you display outstanding behaviours or as a thank you for a one off task and you can nominate them. Nominations are made through the Reward App in MyHR and sent to either your manager or countersigning officer to support the nomination.

    If your countersigning officer or manager decides to sponsor the nomination, they will submit the nomination to the approving authority for final consideration.

    The approving authority has the final decision on whether the nomination is accepted or rejected.

    You will receive an automated email notification if the nomination has been accepted. Money awards are paid alongside your monthly salary payment and will show on your pay statement. For voucher awards, you will receive an email with an access code and a link to choose your own vouchers from the Compliment Select Platform.
