Apprenticeships

Develop knowledge and skills on the job whilst working towards a qualification and excelling your career.

Who is it for?

Civil Servants at band D to SCS (grade EO to SCS)

What do I get?

An apprenticeship is paid employment that combines on-the-job training with an accompanying development programme. Through an apprenticeship, apprentices gain professional knowledge, practical experience and the wider skills required for their current role and career development.

Apprenticeships last between one to five years depending on the qualification you work towards. Most of the training will be 'on-the-job' with the remaining 'off-the-job' training delivered by the apprenticeship training provider.

Note that Civil Service Apprenticeships are for Civil Service personnel only; military personnel are not eligible to apply.
