Defence Sports and Recreational Association (DSRA)

The Defence Sports & Recreational Association (DSRA) is the MOD's department association for delivering and supporting sport, recreation, physical activity and wellbeing activities to civilians across Defence.

Who is it for?

All Civil Servants.

What do I get?

The Defence Sports and Recreation Association, or DSRA, offers a fantastic range of sport and recreation opportunities for staff’s health and wellbeing, including:

  • local activities run by DSRA clubs and groups;

  • various funding options;

  • an annual Sport and Wellbeing Day;

  • bespoke activities;

  • virtual challenges. 

So, whether you want to pursue a sport, meet new people, or boost your wellbeing, the DSRA has something for everyone. 

To benefit, you must be a Defence civilian, employed by the Ministry of Defence or a Defence agency, and be a member of the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC).
